The current pandemic situation causes difficulties in the world’s economy including Indonesia. Citizens are forced to stay at home and it leads to certain bankruptcy in several sectors. According to Director-General of the Ministry of Manpower of Training dan Productivity Development: Satrio Lelono, approximately 2,9 million Indonesians have been fired and laid off due to the pandemic (quoted from CNBC Indonesia). The sandwich generation is one of the groups that is very affected in this situation because of its considerable financial burden. In the recent economic situation, JAKPAT conducted a survey to find out how pandemic affects the respondent’s financial condition through their financial profile and how they see emergency funds.
