With greater accessibility to smartphones, many people nowadays use their mobile devices to look for information while on-the-go. There are two platforms by which people can find information and complete tasks – mobile web and mobile app. Mobile web is essentially similar to the website that could be seen on a desktop computer; the difference is that the mobile website is designed for the smaller handheld display. On the other hand, a mobile application is designed specifically for use on smaller devices such as smartphones and tablets. Unlike mobile web, the mobile app (depending on its function and purpose) does not necessarily need to be connected to the internet.
