Chinese New Year (CNY) is an important celebration that marking the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. In some region, CNY is known as well as the Spring Festival, Lunar New Year, or Imlek. Traditionally, CNY celebration is conducted in a quite long process and involves many activities, myths, and belief. For example, people need to wear red traditional clothes, serve specific dishes, and avoid doing certain activities on CNY. However, as time goes by, these traditions seem to be simplified. Actually, the tendency to simplify tradition happens as well in other customs. We conduct a survey of 194 Indonesian-Chinese respondents in this survey to understand their activities on celebrating CNY. We provide a list of activities that includes traditional custom and activities on CNY. Then, we ask our respondents to pick any activities or custom they conduct on CNY.
